Todd Christenson is Chairman and CTO of HT MicroAnalytical, Inc., ("HT") a company he co-founded in Albuquerque, NM in 2003 to bring metal MEMS to the marketplace. Subsequent to a small angel investment, HT was self-funded until 2009 when it secured investment from an institutional partner. Today, HT Micro resides in its own custom microfabrication facility and is recognized internationally as a premier metal MEMS manufacturer providing the smallest metal based mechanical sensors in the world. Dr. Christenson received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1995 where he worked on integrated microsensors and electron devices at the Wisconsin Center for Applied Microelectronics. From 1995 to 2003 he was at Sandia National Laboratories working on sensors and semiconductors. His research has focused on the design and microfabrication of integrated physical sensors and actuators constructed using additive microfabrication approaches. He is author of three book chapters, 155 research publications, and holds 41 U.S. patents related to the areas of microfabrication and microfabricated devices.
